Pre care instructions
BROWS:
2 WEEKS BEFORE
Botox: Must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. Receiving it within 14 days of your appointment will result in being sent home and asked to reschedule.
Waxing: I recommend coming to your appointment with your brows grown out. There is no need to have them cleaned up before. I prefer to see how they grow naturally, and will clean them up for you at your appointment. If you must clean them up beforehand, please do so at least a week before your appointment. If you tint your brows, please do so at least 7 days prior.
Retin-A: Please refrain from using any retin-a/retinol products in the brow area for 2 weeks leading up to your appointment.
24 HOURS BEFORE ALL SERVICES:
To minimize bleeding during the procedure, please avoid any alcohol and excessive caffeine. Blood thinning medications such as Ibuprofen and Advil should also be avoided unless prescribed by a doctor.
EYELINER:
Please remove contacts before arriving to your appointment. You must not wear contacts for 5 days after your appointment. No make up/ mascara on the eyes for 5 days. I always recommend grabbing yourself a fresh tube of mascara for after your 5 days. Please remove all eye makeup including false lashes or lash extensions prior to your arrival. Avoid using lash serums (such as Latisse) for at least 4 weeks before your appointment and until your eyes are fully healed afterward.
LIP BLUSH:
Stay well hydrated 24-48 hours before your appointment. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid caffeine the morning of your appointment. Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or other blood thinning supplements for 24-48 hours before your appointment unless prescribed by a doctor. Do not use exfoliating products, retinoids, or strong acids around the lips for 5-7 days before your appointment.
*If you are prone to cold sores Lip Blush can trigger an outbreak. If you have ever had a cold sore, even just once, you should contact your healthcare provider about starting an antiviral medication (such as Valtrex or Acyclovir) 1-2 days before your appointment and continuing it as directed.
Healthy hydrated lips heal the best. Begin moisturizing your lips several times a day before your appointment and gently exfoliate 2-3 times during the week leading up to your session. Do not exfoliate within 24 hours of your appointment.
